An on a COMPLETELY unrelated note...

So here's something crazy - I'm a little embarrassed to even admit this but here I go - tomorrow, March 31st, is the anniversary of my joining Facebook...  EIGHT YEARS AGO.  I was still at BU finishing up my junior year, it was called "The Facebook", there was no "wall", "newsfeed" or "timeline", and the population consisted of students at approximately 15 universities: Harvard (obviously), the rest of the Ivy's, Stanford, MIT, Tufts, BU, and a few other Boston-area schools.  If you've seen THE SOCIAL NETWORK you know the rest of the story.  It kind of boggles my mind how much our world has changed since then.

Just a random thought for a Friday afternoon.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! It's EVRYONE'S best thing! (12/9 Edition)

A few items of note today:


1.  As previously mentioned, my next project, a 1950's short film, shoots tomorrow & Sunday - SO EXCITING!  I've been working my butt off on it (and therefore neglecting both this blog and my regular jobby-job a little bit) so for that reason, and because I just can't wait to see how it all came together, I'm glad it's finally here.


2.  TODAY IS BOYFRIEND'S BIRTHDAY!!  Even though this isn't an official IMBT Birthday Shoutout, I'm still dedicating today's post to him.  Love you Handsome!

Because I have to be up at the buttcrack of dawn tomorrow for the short, I will have to leave his drinks/celebration early tonight.  I did, however, bake him a chocolate chip cookie cake which I gave him at midnight last night along with his gift - a super snazzy Penguins (the hockey team) throwback hoodie and some adorable penguin salt & pepper shakers/wind-up toys (which he needed and were sort of from my Mom - long story).  Doesn't quite compare to Pismo Beach, but I still plan on taking him out for a special dinner/evening just the two of us after I finish the short and in between holiday madness.  Suggestions on where to go welcome in the comments!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! It's EVERYONE'S Best Thing! (11/04 edition)

We are full swing into the second-to-last month of the year.  How crazy is that?  This week we're casting the next short I'm producing (currently titled TOMATO CAN), then one week from today I'll be waking up in sunny wet and cold NYC (truth).  Before we know it it'll be Thanksgiving - my favourite holiday EVER (post coming soon), then it'll be time to shoot TOMATO CAN, and then it'll be holiday party season woot woot!

McDonald's Coffee: My Best [Morning] Thing

"Small coffee, black and an egg McMuffin, no meat"

This is my standard order at the local McD's.  I consider it a "treat" (as opposed to my usual boring cereal or instant oatmeal and gross office coffee) and want to keep it that way so I try to limit my "splurges" to about once every couple of weeks, sometimes once a week.  I bring it in to work and the coffee is still piping hot when I get in.  I add a little bit of 2%, some sweetener, and my morning becomes instantly better.  Happy Friday to me!

PS.  This is not a "sponsored" post.  I just really love McDonald's coffee.

PPS.  Unless you feel like losing your breakfast, don't scroll too far down if you ever do a Google image search for "mcdonalds coffee" (though I suppose this could be applied to any Google image search).  There are some pretty graphic images of coffee-spill burns - yikes.
